Popular accessory manufacturer iLuv has announced a new iPhone and iPod dock today, the iLuv iMM288. It’s a stylish little thing, with a slanted speaker wall resting on a flat base, and a dock for your iPhone or iPod in the center.
iLuv are being cagey with the complete spec at the moment, so there’s no indication of how big the drivers are, or how much power the amplifier produces. The blurb says the dock provides stereo sound and has a 3.5mm auxiliary input too.
What makes the iLuv dock interesting is the free application available from the App Store, which adds custom clocks, weather reports and Internet Radio. Naturally, the dock charges whichever device is plugged in, and the unit has built-in volume controls and an LED power indicator.
The retail price of the iLuv iMM288 has been set at $89.99, and is available for pre-order from stockists now. It’s certainly the best looking product we’ve seen from iLuv, and if you’re on a budget it could be a good buy.
Recently, we rounded up a collection of sub-£50 docks, so if you can’t wait for the iMM288, you may find some inspiration there.
